Hong Kong is facing a major upgrade of the city’s infrastructure.
By 2027, 13,000 traffic signals will be replaced – and PrismaTibro is one of the main suppliers in the project.

Our product, Prisma Daps, an advanced tactile and acoustic pedestrian signal, will be installed across the city. The goal is clear: to improve accessibility for people with visual impairments in one of the world’s most densely populated areas.

This is an important step in Hong Kong’s effort to build a more inclusive city, where all citizens – regardless of ability – can move freely and safely in public spaces.
For us at PrismaTibro, this is a major recognition. Our technology, developed and manufactured in Tibro, has contributed to safer crossings in Swedish cities for decades. Now it will play a key role in an international project.

The project in Hong Kong is one of our largest to date – but far from the first outside Sweden. In fact, more Prisma Daps units have been delivered internationally than within Sweden’s borders.
Our solution is now present in a number of countries, the result of many years of dedicated work to improve traffic safety and accessibility worldwide.

Prisma Daps is designed to be intuitive, durable, and reliable. It provides clear sound and vibration signals that guide pedestrians across the street, even in noisy or challenging environments.
It is also energy-efficient and easy to integrate into different traffic systems – a decisive factor in Hong Kong’s procurement.

This is not about big words – it’s about real impact in people’s daily lives.
When technology is used right, it truly makes a difference.

We are proud to be part of Hong Kong’s journey towards a more accessible future. It confirms our belief: the cities of tomorrow must be built for everyone – and it starts with products that truly work.

From Tibro to Hong Kong – and beyond.
