Together for Safer Roads – Time to Prioritize Pedestrians and Cyclists
From 12–18 May 2025, the UN Global Road Safety Week takes place – an international campaign aimed at raising awareness of road safety and encouraging action to reduce traffic accidents worldwide. This year’s theme focuses on making walking and cycling safer – an important step towards protecting the most vulnerable road users.
Each year, more than 1.19 million people lose their lives in traffic accidents. Many of them are pedestrians and cyclists. That number is unacceptable – and it must be reduced. At PrismaTibro, we want to be part of the solution. Through our products, we help municipalities create safer and more accessible environments for everyone moving through traffic.
Safer Crossings with Prisma Daps
Prisma Daps is our accessibility-adapted pedestrian signal that combines tactile guidance, sound signals, and smart technology – all designed to make it easier and safer for everyone, regardless of ability, to cross the street. During Road Safety Week, we especially urge municipalities and urban planners to invest in solutions that protect the most exposed.
👉 Technology can save lives. Time to make every crossing safe.
Slow Down with Flexibump
Speed kills – literally. An increase in average speed of just 1 km/h results in a 3% increase in injury-related crashes and a 4–5% increase in fatal crashes. That’s why speed control is a crucial part of traffic safety work. With Flexibump, our flexible rubber speed bump, we help reduce speed where it really matters – near schools, crossings, and residential areas.
👉 Slow down. Save lives. It’s simple.
Brighter Spaces with Prisma Light
Darkness should never be a barrier to mobility. With Prisma Light, our energy-efficient street lighting, we create brighter, safer, and more inviting areas where people feel confident walking and cycling – even after dark. Thoughtful lighting is not just a matter of technology – it’s an investment in people’s lives and everyday safety.
👉 Don’t let darkness be a risk factor.
Road safety is about more than rules – it’s about people.
Want to know how your municipality can create a safer everyday environment for pedestrians and cyclists?
We’re happy to help.
