Automatic Thermal Fuse in Prisma Button

Prisma Button is a series of elbow switches designed to meet the demands of both robust and sensitive environments, such as schools and healthcare facilities. These switches are made of extruded aluminum and feature a pressure-sensitive front panel without moving parts, ensuring durability and reliability.

Prisma Button 300 – This compact model measures 286 mm in length and is ideal for spaces with limited installation room. It offers multiple configuration options via DIP switches, including activation delay and the “Nurse Bed” function for controlling double doors. Additionally, it is designed to withstand use as a spark contact.

Prisma Button 800 – With a length of 786 mm, this model provides a larger activation surface, which is beneficial in environments where users may have limited mobility or where quick access is required. Like the other models, it has a durable construction and multiple customizable settings.

Prisma Button 1200 – The longest model in the series, measuring 1169 mm, is specifically designed for healthcare environments. It is equipped with two separate circuit boards, allowing different functions in the upper and lower parts of the switch. This means that users can configure different functions depending on where on the panel activation occurs, providing increased flexibility in use.

Safety Features
A key safety feature of the Prisma Button series is the built-in thermal fuse. If the ambient temperature exceeds 110°C, the power supply is cut off to prevent overheating. When the temperature drops below 80°C, the thermal fuse automatically resets, and the device returns to normal operation. This function protects both the device and users from potential risks at high temperatures.

Customization Options
Prisma Button offers multiple customizable settings via internal DIP switches. Users can adjust activation delay, enable an acknowledgment sound for confirmation upon activation, and configure the “Nurse Bed” function for specific door-opening scenarios. The robust design also includes active protection against vandalism; if the device is deformed due to external impact, it automatically recalibrates to continue functioning correctly.

In summary, the Prisma Button series combines durability, safety, and flexibility, making it suitable for a wide range of applications where reliable and customizable door activation is required.
