Dimming Detection of red and green light

We have recently fulfilled another request from a customer: Dimming detection of red and green light.
This is how it works

If the lamp voltage falls below a certain threshold level, this can be detected by creating a signal on a virtual wire.
A virtual wire can be set to wire 1, 2 or 3.
This means that all functions that currently exist for wires, such as inversion and delay, can also be used for a virtual wire.

A microphone continuously measuring the traffic noise level around the device, adjusting the sound level to make sure that the sound is audible but less disturbing.
Prisma Daps 2000 is smart enough to know at which sound frequency it is time to increase the sound.
Adjustable in level of 1 dB over ambient noise, from -15dB to +15dB.
Individually set for all phases even for internal as well as external loudspeaker.

Android app provided by PrismaTibro is the platform which is necessary to make changes and activate more functions.
The programming is done by an Android-App and transferred via NFC/Bluetooth or through a USB flash drive.
Simply start a new configuration file or open an existing configuration file, then change, save, copy and send as preferred.

The Settings and configuration file are transferred to Prisma Daps 2000•L via Bluetooth from Android Smartphone or Android Tablet.

Prisma Daps Detect
Checks that someone still is waiting for green light.
If the person leaves – Prisma Daps checks with other Prisma Daps in crossing – anyone else waiting?
If someone else is waiting - the demand is still active.
If not – the demand is withdrawn and traffic flows.

Programming with dip switches.

8 dip switches on the motherboard makes it possible to adjust the settings for the Prisma Daps 2300•S.

For the larger models – Prisma Daps 2000•L and Prisma Daps 2000•M – an Android app is used to carry out the required settings.

Activated in the configuration file.
Compatible firmware 171206 or higher.
Recommended: Minimum 8-wire cable.

For intersections with an intensive traffic, wide streets with several lanes, it is recommended to connect an external loudspeaker.
Prisma Daps 2000•L and Prisma Daps 2000•M-series can be equipped with external loudspeaker: Prisma Daps ES-400.

Requirements
To be installed at 2.5 meters above the ground facing opposite side of the street.
Prisma Daps should be supplied with 10- or 13-wire cabling.

The LED lens in the front gives you a notification light as a response to your demand.
Customized text is possible
The protection lens over the LED in front can be supplied with a customized text on it, for example: "Wait"
Red error light
Activates a red error-LED light in front in case of an error.

The wide LED light ring of the Prisma Daps gives light notification as a response to your demand.
LED light ring for increased visibility at long distance.
Visibility 270° horizontal angle.

• Notification light – different options available.
• Constant light or the light ring turns on while pushing the front.
Adjustable light intensity from 25–100%

A great help for pedestrians to locate the Prisma Daps push button and it gives info about the status of the intersection.
Following the locating sound from opposite side, the pedestrian can cross the street safely.
• 16 standard locating sounds.

• Not mistakable with other sounds in the urban environment
• Minimum disturbance for neighbours
• Individually set for all phases

Replaced with Bluetooth in 2022.
The Settings and configuration file are transferred to Prisma Daps 2000•L via Near Field Communication (NFC) from Android Smartphone or Android Tablet.

More options to program sound, light and functions for different times of the day.

Prisma Daps gives you a notification after pushing the front which is a receipt of your demand in a form of sound – Beep.
It can be turned off.

Powered directly from a separate power source or through the red lamp.
Standard supplied with a 3- or 5-wire cable and voltage adapter.
The voltage adapter converts the intersection’s/plant’s operating voltage down to 24 V DC which is Prisma Daps 2300•S series operating voltage.

The entire push front is sensitive to pressure.
By pushing the front, you get a notification sound: Beep, as a response to your demand.
It’s possible to have two different functions for the push front – direct push and/or extended push.
Extended push can be used to get extended green light time.

Hardware
Prisma Daps 2000 is made of aluminum housing – which means a long-life expectancy.
The electronics are compactly mounted inside an inner protective profile so that it can be removed and maintained easily.
The electronic push front is very sensitive and without movable parts.
Prisma Daps is vandal proof and practically impossible to destroy.

Software
A monitoring system continuously measures the signals coming from the traffic head light to guarantee that the Prisma Daps will never sound green during red phase.

Relief symbols and direction tactile arrow
A tactile map which provides the visually impaired pedestrians with information on the exact condition of the crosswalk to be crossed.

• The symbols are always arranged in the direction from bottom to top
• Always placed facing the walkway
• Delivered with 7 different symbols as puzzle pieces.
Tactile arrow
• The tactile arrow shows the direction of the crosswalk.
• Supplied with single and double arrow.
A description about the meaning of the symbols and direction arrows are available in the packaging.

Prisma Daps 2000•L can be supplied with NFC antenna which makes the communication possible with RFID.
Order RFID-tags and program up to 16 tag groups for different functions and geographical areas.
Even different functions can be programmed.
RFID tags can be activated for different functions:
• Extended time for green light
• Sound and Light Notification
• Higher sound volume
• Spoken messages
• Set up a different locating sound
Note!
RFID for Prisma Daps 2000•L is high frequency and not backward compatible to previous series Prisma Daps 1000 or Prisma Daps TS-900 which used with low frequency RFID. That’s why to match both Prisma Daps 1000 and Prisma Daps 2000•L-series.
RFID combi-tag can be selected which is a combination of both high and low frequencies.
Recommended: Minimum 8-wire cable.

Programming is done with an Android app, the settings are transferred to Prisma Daps via USB flash drive.
The USB-port is placed behind the protective LED lens in the front.

Vibrator with or without push function
Both versions are placed at the bottom lid.
The vibrator pulse frequency is 0-750 ppm.
There is a distinct change in the vibrator pulse rate when changing from red to green, to make it easier for pedestrians to know that the green phase is active.

The vibrator is placed at the bottom lid.
It is known as a Vibrator plate with tactile dots
With the push function
It is known as a Vibrator plate with a pressure button.
The push function gives the same notification as the push front does, but it can also be programmed with other optional functions.
